I partnered with the team at Brew Dr. to design the label for a new limited release kombucha flavor called Cherry Vanilla as part of their Founder’s Series flavor line. Founder’s Series labels feature artwork created by different illustrators to showcase Brew Dr. in the style of other artists. The goal was to create an illustration that is transportive, eye-catching, vivid, and creatively invokes a landscape that incorporates the flavor cues (dark cherry and vanilla).
This confection packaging was designed to fit within a line of spring products that uses a handmade gouache painting style to convey the fresh, abundant energy we feel during springtime. I painted the illustration by hand and designed the “spring tea” lettering for this packaging. I also styled and shot the final product photos.
The St. Johns Farmers market needed a new design to promote their 2024 market season that was bold and joyful. We created a core poster design featuring a fantastical landscape incorporating abstract wavy shapes and an oversized garden of fruits, flowers & veggies with the iconic St. Johns Bridge and landscape of the area. We expanded on these illustrated elements across a range of assets for the market, including postcards, digital ads, banners, and merch.
A series of spot illustrations created to accompany an article about winter activities for the January/February 2023 issue of 1859 Oregon’s Magazine.
One of my favorite places in the world is Summerland, a meadow located along part of the Wonderland trail at Mt. Rainier National Park. This place is full of all the beauty, magic, and wonder that makes the Pacific Northwest so special. For me, it was also one of the first big hikes I went on with my brother and dad, which got me really excited about exploring the outdoors as a teenager. This patten collection is an ode to alpine meadows in the Pacific Northwest. It is soft, joyful, nostalgic and full of life. Welcome to Wonderland.
In 2022, I collaborated with the brand Denik to create 6 different notebook designs using patterns from this collection. You may view the collection here or read my interview with Denik here.

Sunbreak Kombucha Co is a conceptual brand project for a company that makes refreshing, organic kombucha for people who want to enjoy a great-tasting beverage that makes them feel great. The challenge was to create a brand that appeals to new consumers outside of the somewhat niche kombucha-drinking market. The solution was a clean, modern brand design with dreamy, organic touches through custom illustration and type design.
In an effort to reduce packaging costs, we were tasked with designing a new sleeve for Theo Chocolate’s Taste of Washington Caramel Collection, a favorite for Washingtonians and tourists alike. The new design would utilize the seasonal confection packaging format already being used for other products during the holidays. During the design process, I explored different ways to celebrate Washington’s natural landscape while conveying the high quality, specialty nature of the product.

A hand-painted mural designed for Kindness Farm and installed on plywood paneling in May 2023. The mural design celebrates the diversity of edible foods grown at the farm. Special thanks to Miller Paint for donating paint for the mural!
I worked on the Theo Chocolate 2020 Holiday product line in collaboration with another designer. We developed an illustration style guide inspired by a whimsical winter wonderland world, and I created the illustrations for the Nutcracker Brittle, Peppermint Marshmallows, and Peppermint Cocoa Cups. The Holiday 2020 packaging update resulted in a 37% total increase in sales over the prior year, including a 120% sales increase in the grocery channel, winning our team the DesignAnalytics Design Effectiveness Award. A personal project to design packaging for homemade apple butter. I wanted to create a bit of simple packaging that made the jars of apple butter feel like even more special little gifts. The solution utilized a cheery illustrated apple pattern and unique typography that communicates the thick texture of the apple butter.
“Golden Hour” came to life during the COVID shutdown. As spring turned into summer, I was at home every day and as I slowed down in a space with little change, the changing light throughout the day and blooming flowers around me became especially exciting. The designs in this pattern aim to capture the wonderful golden tones that come to life at sunset, as well as a bit of nostalgia.
The 2022 Spring chocolate bar packaging for Theo Chocolate was designed to sit alongside the previously designed Spring confection packaging, which featured hand-painted gouache illustrations. I designed the Lemon Milk Chocolate label, and another designer designed the Coconut Almond Dark Chocolate label. As we worked through drafts, we collaborated on technique, layout, and color palette to make sure that the two bars fit closely together. To support the product launch, I also created animations for both products that morph from flavor illustration to flavor descriptors.

Pacific Northwest Life offers Professional Real Estate services in Oregon and Washington State. The founder is a Licensed Realtor specializing in procuring lifestyle properties for outdoors adventurers and explorers. The logo and brand elements utilize geometric lines with touches of warmth to convey a brand that is rugged, sincere, joyful, and adventurous.
The goal of this project was to re-design Theo Chocolate's seasonal holiday caramel packaging to coordinate with the rest of our holiday product assortment of bars, candy, marshmallows, and drinking chocolate. The confection packaging needed to match the illustration style and color palette defined for rest of the product line, but with a more elevated and sophisticated touch that communicated the quality of the handmade caramels. I was inspired by vintage ornaments, and illustrated a variety of whimsical ornaments with gold foil details for this packaging. I also created the product name lettering, which brings warmth and a nostalgic feel to the design.

The goal for this project was to design an on-brand, cohesive seasonal look for Theo Chocolate’s two Valentine’s Day 3oz chocolate bar flavors. We wanted to create a warm, friendly and inclusive design for people excited about celebrating Valentine’s day with their loved ones. The handmade aesthetic of the illustrations I created for these is intended to be reminiscent of handmade valentines. Included here are a few images from my process exploring multiple different scene concepts before landing on the final direction.
The Salted Black Licorice label was a new label design for an existing flavor. In the new packaging, sales across national distribution increased by 37% in 2021 compared to the previous year. The Raspberry Nib bar was a new flavor and was the #1 selling item in the Theo Flagship store during February 2021, and outsold Salted Black Licorice nationally.

In response to COVID-19, Amplifier launched an emergency campaign with top art curators and public-health advisors from around the world looking for public health and safety messages that can help flatten the curve through education and symbols that help promote mental health, well-being, and social change work during these stressful times.
I created this piece for the Amplifier campaign, which partnered with 4Culture King County to distribute the design.
Through the hardship and uncertainty during this time, we have also seen love and support pour out all over in our communities. I think that this can grow into a new way of working as a society. I hope that this shared experience teaches us all to be softer and kinder, and that our future is a world that prioritizes well-being for all.
In collaboration with Amplifier and W1 Curates, this design was also displayed on large electronic billboards in London as part of a campaign to replace advertising with powerful art. The final two images here are courtesy of Amplifier and W1 Curates.
This seasonal confection sleeve needed to be re-designed to fit within the overall Valentine’s day product line at Theo Chocolate, which features digitally painted textures and a soft pink and purple color palette. This packaging also needed to be differentiated from the rest of the product line as a luxurious gift. I used lettering to create an abstract pattern as background of the packaging design, and highlighted the curves of the letterforms with additional brushstrokes and gold foil. The deep purple tones help to convey the richness of the confections inside.

My earliest memories of painting are from spending time with my grandmother, an artist who drew a lot of inspiration from Scandinavian folk art. This pattern collection came from flipping through one of her old decorative painting books, and fusing ideas there with my own style.
