Join me in this 3 hour workshop exploring landscape painting with acrylic gouache, a medium popular for its vibrant color possibilities and matte texture. Learn techniques for simplifying a scene, practice creating color studies, and experiment with texture. Students will come away from class with a collection of studies as well as a final landscape painting. All painting levels are welcome!

I’ll be showing a new collection of paintings inspired by the Eagle Cap Wilderness in Eastern Oregon. Gallery opening reception is Thursday, May 29th and art will be on view through June.

Join me in this full day workshop painting with gouache! We’ll explore techniques for painting with acryla gouache, developing unique color palettes, simplifying reference photos, and adding texture and detail. Students will practice painting a range of subjects and come away from class with a stack of studies and experiments.
